Through a compilation of formal and informal assessments the therapist designs individualized psychoeducational goals to address the learning challenges of the client. Together the therapist and the client work toward the psychoeducational goals through a variety of games and activities in one-to-one sessions, both in person or virtually. All interventions are derived from evidence-based programs such as Lindamood Bell, Wilson, IPEC, and more or designed with current research in mind. Progress toward goals will be monitored and assessed periodically through benchmark assessments.
Common areas of concern addressed in educational therapy are: reading decoding (dyslexia), reading comprehension (hyperlexia), writing composition, executive functioning, study skills, time management, organization, math computation, and more.
* As we continue to be impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, it is requested that all in person sessions are conducted with masks on. As more and information becomes available guidelines may change.
